Lament for Nature, 2021-present

Large scale paintings require viewers to look up, akin to looking up at a mountain range and sensing one’s diminutiveness. Base on images of the same landscape in the Catskill Mountains, depictions of four seasons demarcate into 120 squares; disseminated and fragmented spaces, broken lines and hyperbolized colors, as if to say: something is wrong with this picture. And to say: landscape paintings will never be the same in our time of Anthropocene.
